Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices

Beautiful, amazing, fantastic, super, gorgeous, delicious, wonderful. I was in the mood to clog my arteries today. But while this may be damaging my health, it heals my soul. I didn’t know there were any Ralph’s outside of Long Island! They were generous with the toppings, ice cream was delicious as usual. I got cookie craze hard ice cream (vanilla base dyed blue with chunks of Oreos and chips ahoy), mixed in with chocolate soft serve and edible cookie dough. This would be my dessert portion of my death row meal.

10/10 italian ice that even has real fruit chunks in it. The inside of the location looks super clean. The employees working were very nice!

I only regret not coming here sooner! They have a wide variety of flavors and some funky ones. Came during a late evening and there was a small wait, but totally worth it. The dude at the window was totally calm and cool in helping us decide what to get. Can’t wait to come back!

This place always has a line, so I decided to give it a try. I had the Chocolate Chunk Doughnado with the edible cookie dough. It was disappointing. They hardly gave me any cookie dough, and the cookie dough itself wasn’t very good. However, I’ve heard good things about their ices and ice cream, so I will be back.

This place gets a 5/5 because my husband loves Italian ice. Think of snowcones from your childhood, but the Italian ice is soft and creamy (even the water ice that doesn’t use any cream). I’m not a huge fan of the flavors - they taste like processed synthetic flavor syrup with artificial colors. I prefer good ole regular ice cream and their sundaes do a good job of hitting the spot if you’re in a pinch. They’re open late so that helps.

I find this to be a hidden gem of Gramercy. Italian Ice store in a location that has apartments and not much local bars or restaurants nearby this is a sweet spot to go to on a late Summer night or on a day that’s hot for a worthy ice treat. There are alot of flavor selection which makes it hard to decide, but the staff is friendly, efficient and professional. One thing I didn’t like was there were so many people who gathered around the front line just to wait for their Italian Ice without a 6ft of distance. I think this place needs to place a 6ft marker just to keep everything safe and clean.

I have a severe peanut allergy. The general manager, Sharry, was so accommodating and reassured me multiple times that there was no cross contamination. I truly appreciated her willingness to stop and help on a busy summer night!

I recommend this spot! I got the Italian ice citrus mix flavor. It’s like a popsicle in a shave ice form. It tasted great, was super refreshing and really smooth. If you’re in the mood for a sweet, cold treat, worth stopping by!
